OKBET Affiliate anticipates record revenue and EBIT through the third quarter of the year, owing to high customer activity in both the sportsbook and online casino verticals.
The online gambling company has issued a trading update ahead of its Q3 interim report on October 26, 2022, which forecasts growth in both of the aforementioned financial segments.
Revenue is expected to be in the €199m-€201m range from July to September, the highest level ever for the group in a single quarter, with an operating profit of €37.5m-€39m.
Compared to the corresponding figures in Q3 2021, revenue at the midpoint would represent a 17.64% increase from €170m, while the latter would increase 21.45% from €331.7m in 2021.
Furthermore, this growth can be attributed to a continued push across Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
Furthermore, OKBET Affiliate stated that “another growth driver” in the third quarter was the early start of major European football leagues in August due to the upcoming World Cup in November-December.
“The sportsbook continues to develop into a more important part of OKBET Affiliate’s total business, thanks to investments to strengthen the product in recent years and geographical expansion to several new markets,” the company said in its trading update.
“The preliminary sportsbook margin for the quarter was 8.3 percent, which is the same as the previous two quarters in 2022, but slightly higher than the average of the previous eight quarters of approximately 7.7 percent.”
