SIC Bo, Baccarat, Betting Guide

Baccarat and Sic Bo are two casino games that are frequently (and incorrectly) combined. Baccarat is an Italian game, but it became popular in France and is now most popular with Asian gamblers. Sic Bo is an ancient Chinese dice game that is gaining popularity among players all over the world.

What these games do share is a sense of mystery, which turns some people off from playing them. Both, however, are extremely simple, and in the following guide, we will teach you the fundamentals of each so that you can begin playing right away.

Baccarat Betting Guide

There are three types of Baccarat; however, the game known as Punto Banco is the only one available online. The game is played with a shoe containing six or eight shuffled decks of cards. Baccarat’s goal is straightforward: bet on which of two positions, known as Player or Banker, will have a value closer to 9 once all of the cards have been dealt.

As a result, there are only three possible bets in the game: Player, Banker, and Tie. You must place your bets on one of these at the start of the round, and once all bets have been placed, you simply sit back and wait to see if you have won.

First, the dealer deals two cards face up to each position: one to the Player, one to the Banker, one to the Player again, and one to the Banker again. The values are calculated once each position has two cards.

When calculating the value of a position, the number cards 2 through 10 are worth their face value, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth ten, and Aces are worth one. If the total of the cards is greater than 10, then 10 is subtracted from the total. A hand of 18, for example, is worth $8.

This is usually the end of the round, and any winning bets are then paid out. However, in some cases, a third card may be dealt to one or both of the positions:

  • When a player or banker has a total of 8 or 9, they must always stand. This applies whether they are in the Player or Banker position.
  • If the total for the Player position is six or seven, then the position stands.
  • If the Player position chooses to stand and the Banker position already has a total of 5 or fewer, the Banker position will draw a card.
  • If the player’s total is five or lower, then the player must draw a third card from the deck.

In the following scenarios, if the Player position is dealt a third card, then the Banker position will also be dealt a third card as well:

  • In the event that the Banker has a total of zero, one, or two.
  • If the Banker has a total of three, then they will draw if the Player’s third card was a one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, nine, or zero (not 8).
  • If the Player’s third card was a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7, the Banker will draw if they have a total of 4 and the Player has a total of 2.
  • If the Player’s third card was a 4, 5, 6, or 7, the Banker will draw if they have a total of 5.
  • If the Player’s third card was a 6 or 7, and the Banker has a total of 6, then the Player must draw a card.
  • If the Banker has a total of seven, they are required to stand at all times.

After all of the cards have been dealt, the position whose total is closest to 9 at the end of the game is the winner. The payments for winning Player or Banker bets in baccarat games are 1 to 1, while the payouts for winning Tie bets are often 8 to 1. However, since winning Banker bets typically incur a charge of five percent, the actual payment is ninety-five to one. Certain games, however, provide an increased payout of eleven to one for successful Tie bets.

As you can see, there is not a whole lot involved in the game of Baccarat. It is possible to look into strategies and statistics, although understanding the fundamental laws of the game does not take much time at all.

SIC BO Betting Guide

As was previously noted, Sic Bo is a traditional Chinese game, and the game’s name literally translates to “valuable dice.” Participants place bets on the outcomes of the rolls made with a set of three dice. It is a really fast-paced game, and once you have mastered the fundamentals, you will undoubtedly have a lot of fun playing it for a long time.

Two factors contribute to the game of Sic Bo having the appearance of being difficult at first. The first difference is that some versions of the game include Chinese characters on the betting area, while other versions do not include these characters. The second disadvantage is that the game allows for a wide variety of wagers, all of which might be confusing to novice players. On the other hand, none of them are particularly difficult to grasp.

You are wagering on the outcome of the roll of three dice, as was described earlier. You now have several different betting alternatives available to you. You can, for instance, place a wager on particular numbers being rolled, on the sum of the three dice, on pairs of numbers, and so on. Other types of wagers are available as well. A concise explanation of each sort of wager is provided below.

Single Number Bets

This wager is placed on the outcome of a single specified number being rolled. The betting area is divided into six sections numbered one through six; you put your chips in the section corresponding to the number you want to bet on. You are eligible for a reward if the number appears on any one of the three dice at any point during the game.

If the number occurs on many dice, then the payout for that combination of numbers will be enhanced. If the number appears on one, two, or three dice, respectively, you win at the odds of 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1, respectively.

Bets on Combinations of Two Numbers

A wager on any two particular numbers being rolled can be made using this option. For instance, you could place a bet on the numbers 2 and 4, and if any of those numbers appeared, you would have won your wager. The payout for each of these bets is 6:1.

Totals Bet

This is the least complicated sort of bet in a number of respects. This wager is placed on the aggregate total of all three dice. Any total can be gambled on, with the exception of 3 and 18, which each have their own set of betting options. The rewards are determined by the total that you bet on because different totals have different probabilities of being rolled. Some totals have a higher chance of being rolled than others. 4 and 17 pay 62:1, 5 and 16 pay 31:1, 6 and 15 pay 18:1, 7 and 14 pay 12:1, 8 and 13 pay 8:1, 9 and 12 pay 7:1, and 10 and 11 pay 6:1.

Bets on the Triple and Pairs

These two wagers are extremely comparable to one another. A wager placed on two of the three dice to display the same number is referred to as a “Pair Bet,” while a wager placed on all three dice to show the same number is referred to as a “Triple Bet.” A successful Pair Bet pays off 8:1. There are two different ways to place a Triple Bet. You have the option of betting on Any Triple, which will pay out at 24:1, or you may wager on a Particular Triple, which will pay out at 150:1.

Big and Small Bets

Both of these wagers are placed on the aggregate value of the three dice. A wager on the total being between 11 and 17 inclusive is referred to as a “Big bet,” whereas a wager on the total being between 4 and 10 inclusive is referred to as a “Small bet.” Each of the bets has a payout ratio of 1 to 1.

Conclusion

It should by this point be obvious that both of these games are on the easier side. In a very short amount of time, you may learn the fundamentals of baccarat and get started playing the game. When it comes to Sic Bo, it may take you a little bit more time to become familiar with all of the various sorts of bets; nonetheless, there is nothing hard about them. At Plaza Royal, we offer thrilling live dealer versions of each of these games, so why don’t you head on over to the casino and give your luck a shot today?
